Ange Postecoglou has delivered some knock-out jabs at Celtic’s critics.

For the first time in two years the hoops have failed to win either of their last two matches with 70 minutes of the 2-2 draw with St Mirren having an end of season feel about it.

Last season Celtic clinched the title in the second last match but having tied this season’s flag up with four matches to spare there is a drop in intensity which has had an exponential impact on performances.

Keeping everything in context, Postecoglou told the Daily Record:

These guys are champions. They’ve won the title. When the heavyweight champion of the world lifts the belt, he doesn’t have to have won every round.

I have got to be really careful with maybe the words I use in this context. This group of players have been outstanding.

With two matches still to be played before the Scottish Cup Final Postecoglou will be keen to get his side playing to the high standards that has taken then to one match away from winning the treble.

There are possibly two or three places up for grabs in the Starting XI for Hampden with Aaron Mooy, Alastair Johnston and Stephen Welsh missing yesterday’s draw through injury.

True but its hard to get back into rythmn st mirren waisted as time as ref let them and thats was plenty its a entertainment and its the refs job to keep the game moving so boring one player going to take shy then as much time as leave if for fullback who walks up 1minute or more to take a simple throw in so boring and goal kicks corners refs are not trying
To kerp the game flowing uts not good couching or in the spirit of the game

In the absence of CCV an aerial presence in the box is missing and, notwithstanding that the goalie is a class shot-stopper, Joe Hart is not known for plucking out crosses. Let’s deal with the real scenarios on the pitch and not postulations about the future.
