For the third time this season Kyogo Furuhashi has suffered a shoulder injury.

Back in September the striker only lasted a couple of minutes of the Glasgow Derby before being replaced by Giorgos Giakoumakis, in February a fairly innocent fall saw him replaced by Liel Abada 15 minutes into the 5-1 win over St Mirren.

On Sunday Kyogo injured his shoulder as he landed after scoring the opener in the 2-0 win over Hearts with his replacement, Oh Hyeon-gyu sealing the win in the 80th minute.

Shoulder injuries are fairly rare, on both previous occasions Kyogo has been back in action quickly but the Scottish Cup Final on June 3 is a bigger event than Saturday’s final Glasgow Derby of the season.

Reacting to Sunday’s injury Ange Postecoglou told the Daily Record:

He hurt his shoulder a little bit. Hopefully it’s not too bad. Obviously he’s had a few issues with it. We will just see and speak to the physios.

Oh would be the natural replacement if Saturday is too soon for Scotland’s top scorer but whether scoring or not Kyogo knows how to handle the rough and tumble of the Scottish game.
