Peter Martin has a major decision today after a clip from yesterday’s PLZ Soccer show went viral across Twitter.

Unable to find a mainstream home PLZ has found the finances to run a weekday show with two pundits usually joining Martin and Alan Rough on the sofa.

The normal diet of jolly O** F*** banter was replaced yesterday as they briefly discussed a 52 match run in the SPFL without conceding a penalty for the Ibrox Tribute Act.

It has been well documented on Twitter, coming soon after a 44 match run that was ended away to St Johnstone after the 20/21 title had been decided.

Being on the fringes of the media getting a clip go viral is exactly what PLZ requires, with the penalty issue under embargo at BBC Scotland there is an opportunity for Martin to take hold of an issue and shape the debate.

Today’s show could easily start with fresh discussion on the 52 match run, get the thoughts of different guests- or they could preview the big Championship Play-Off tie tonight.

By the time the match kicks off at Firhill tonight viewers will know if PLZ are prepared to highlight the issue- or revert back to laughs and giggles about the wacky world of Scottish fitbaw while the elephant in the room is completely ignored, again.

PLZ Soccer does enjoy media access to all SPFL Premiership clubs.

During Kenny Macintyre’s ‘fascinating’ interview with Bobby Madden the penalty run wasn’t mentioned, neither was Madden’s decision to set off for a Ross County v Celtic match in February 2021 when he should have been self-isolating after his mate David Roome tested positive following a jolly to Greece when the national FA decided that a foreign referee was required for an Athens Derby.

One penalty dissecting 96 games is beyond rational debate.
Remember also this is the same Club who went through Covid without a single case being reported.

The death threat claim is a red herring as this turning a blind eye to the fouls committed by rangers defenders goes back much further than the kevin Clancy situation. Can someone get the figures up please of fouls penalised v huns defenders versus fouls v other teams? That too was astonishing.
