Micky Beale has cranked up the pressure on Celtic by announcing his second signing in seven days.

Just like Kieran Dowell new boy Dujon Sterling is moving to Ibrox on the back of an underwhelming season in the English Championship.

The 23-year-old made 26 appearances in the Championship with Stoke City having previously been sent out on loan to Blackpool, Coventry and Wigan.

Naturally he is being billed as a former Chelsea star having played two minutes against Norwich in an FA Cup tie in season 2016/17 which followed a 14 minute appearance off the bench against Nottingham Forest in the League Cup.

Goalkeeper Jack Butland is expected to sign early next week but with Los Angeles FC looking for a transfer fee Jose Cifuentes is unlikely to be signed up before the start of pre-season training on June 30.

Joe McHugh has edited Video Celts since 2010, every day covering events in and around Scotland's most successful club.

When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.

Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement.

There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same. More than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying the ongoing successes of Celtic.

How many is that now the scum have in there ranks now, who couldn’t even make much of an impact at English championship football?
8, 9, or 10 lost count myself, but hardly anything to be concerned about either.
The scum remains nothing more than a team of English flops, while we will be in the market for players of far higher quality.
Is this shite of them closing the gap on us? well let it continue in the manner of this so called rebuild is taking shape, and I’d say the scum will do well to finish third next season
