The Daily Record is trying to break it gently to their readers the news that Malik Tillman won’t be returning to Ibrox next season.

A loan deal in July for the Bayern Munich starlet apparently included an exclusive right to buy with Ross Wilson pulling off his best deal since signing Aaron Ramsey on loan from Juventus.

After turning it on in a few low key games Tillman went into hiding against Celtic as Micky Beale’s trophy hopes were flushed away, Tillman’s last action this season was injuring himself in a brutal attack on Greg Taylor in the Scottish Cup semi-final.

The bottom line is that the player isn’t interested in moving to Ibrox while a £5m transfer would blow a massive hole in Beale’s transfer war-chest.

Showing classic deflection tactics the Record explains:

Wanted Malik Tillman could be facing potential limbo over a permanent transfer to Rangers after Bayern Munich axed sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic.

The playmaker impressed in his loan campaign at Ibrox, despite injury bringing it to a premature end. He scooped both the club and PFA Young Player of the Year awards and rumours have been rife the club have made their move to get a permanent deal over the line.

Rangers boss Michael Beale stated before the final weekend of the Scottish Premiership that the Light Blues would hold a conversation with Bayern after the final weekend of Bundesliga action over whether or not he will remain in blue going into next season. However, since then the club has been plunged into a crisis with the club’s sporting director being axed despite claiming the league title.

Former Celtic youth Liam Morrison has more chance than Tillman of being in the Bayern Munich squad next season.

Good news for bears is that journeyman defender Dujon Sterling has turned down an offer from Stoke City to join Beale’s Revolution.
