Don Robertson had a very special welcome for Micky Beale at Ibrox on Saturday.

Two weeks ago the fourth official was thrown into the lions den at Hampden when Willie Collum was injured in the warm up to the Scottish Cup semi-final.

Robertson was quickly put in charge of his first Glasgow Derby, showing his renowned leniency in the opening minutes when John Lundstram smashed through Kyogo Furuhashi.

On Saturday Robertson was kept on the sidelines where he received a supportive handshake from the Ibrox boss before the match.

Steven McLean refereed the match, his brother Brian started his career as a Murray Park starlet before going on to play for Falkirk, Motherwell, Dundee United and Morton among others.
