Aaron Mooy is a fitness doubt for Celtic’s trip to Ibrox.

The midfielder replaced Matt O’Riley in the 70th minute of the title clincher at Tynecastle on Sunday with most of his recent appearances coming off the bench.

Mooy was a very effective substitute at Ibrox in January as Celtic came from behind to grab a draw but in a throwaway line in Radio Clyde‘s coverage of today’s media conference they highlighted a concern over the Australian internationalist:

Postecoglou, who has a fitness concern over midfielder Aaron Mooy, said: “If we were going there to win it (the title) there would probably be more hype around it so from that perspective it doesn’t feel as intense in terms of the build-up, but I don’t think that will diminish the game itself.

With Reo Hatate playing in the last two matches Celtic have strong midfield options with Tomoki Iwata and David Turnbull also in contention.

Alastair Johnston and Cameron Carter-Vickers will again be missing from the Celtic defence for a Derby with significance even though the SPFL Premiership title has been decided.

Celtic still have points and goal scoring records to chase while Micky Beale is looking for his first win in five attempts in this fixture.

2 minutes 48 seconds for Mooy injury.
