Pat Nevin has explained the route to recovery for Ange Postecoglou!

Not many managers require redemption when they clinch their title and a Champions League place with four matches left to play with just a cup final against lower division opponents standing between Celtic and a treble.

It is a while since the Record dusted down the Celtic crest but in the aftermath of the defeat at Ibrox that iconic image could reappear at any time.

It is a while since Nevin was sharing his expert views on Scottish football, in a recent autobiography he claimed that he was offered the CEO job at Celtic while still playing for Everton.

Would be Celtic owner John Boyle quickly shut that story down, later the duo teamed up at Motherwell to take the club into administration after splashing out on former Everton and Tranmere stars like John Spencer, Ged Brannan and Tony Thomas.

Covering an interview with a Bookmaker, under the headline ‘Nevin on Ange’s Road to Recovery’ the Record repeats:

Pat Nevin reckons there is a clear path to recovery Celtic because of the fans “love” for Ange.

The Parkhead side slipped to their first derby defeat of the campaign at Ibrox but remain on course for a treble this term.

Speaking to BoyleSports he reckons a jump the Premier League at this time would be the wrong choice

Ange Postecoglou is good enough to be a Premier League manager, but I hope he does not go because I speak for every Celtic fan in the world, they all love Postecoglou, he’s perfect for Celtic.

However, he admitted he would love to Angeball south of the border.

He’ll want to go to the Premier League at some point, he has to. I would love to see his style in the English game, but he’ll need time.

These days Nevin is a Hibs and Chelsea hipster. In less than two years managing Celtic Postecoglou has matched the combined trophy count of James Tavernier and Connor Goldson, on June 3 he could surpass the Ibrox legends.

His style in the English would get him the bullet after that performance yesterday,so much for showup and playing the reserves we did that and got a right good SCUDDING for our cheek.

celtic needs an aggressive holding midfielder , in lennon or browns style , an equal or better to taylor , the same for carter vicars , when hatate is not on form the midfield is not either , calum gone quiet , o’rielly missing , i’d have van veen instead of O all day long , but we need a dedicated striker either ways , i’d rest hart as well , two soft goals yesterday , we got the money , spend it and blow the huns out of the water next season proper ,
