Robbie Savage has pitched in for the vacant Sporting Director role at Ibrox.

After four disastrous transfer windows while allowing key contracts to be run down Ross Wilson jumped ship to Nottingham Forest to leave Micky Beale fronting up another job. There has been no suggestion that Wilson will be replaced.

As well as Wilson there has been something of an exodus from Ibrox with Douglas Park, Stewart Robertson, Craig Mulholland, Kenny Barclay and Andrew Dickson have all bailed out ahead of the introduction of UEFA licencing based on Financial Sustainability.

As well as multiple media gigs Savage is the Director of Football at Macclesfield which makes him ideally qualified to assist with Beale’s Revolution.

With the Ibrox boss closing in on deals to sign up multiple free agents from The Championship Savage can do a similar job with National League players, competing with Wrexham and Notts County for the top talents.

The quote I remember from him on BBc radio was that
“Anybody Can score Goals In That League”
    i.e. the Scottish Premiership.
    Another Roaster then for Ipox!
