After starting 17 of 35 SPFL matches this season Ryan Jack is celebrating a bumper new Ibrox contract.

The midfielder moved to Ibrox in the summer of 2017 and has started 99 SPFL matches in that time while collecting two winners medals.

In his Aberdeen farewell appearance Jacko picked up a runners-up medal as Tom Rogic completed the invincible Treble.

At the age of 31 with a troubled injury record there isn’t likely to have been too many offers in for the midfielder.

Jack’s new deal will give hope to Scott Arfield, Steve Davis and Allan McGregor that there could be one more pay day ahead although Filip Helander, Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos will soon be emptying their lockers at Murray Park.

For my dough , Jack is one of the dirtiest , snide players, to have played the game in a very long time ! Why do you think he gets injured so often ? Because he hurts himself in the process! The only thing missing from him signing an extension is that Kleenex aren’t involved in the negotiation .

Totally agree with your comment John C. The guy is the cowards coward. Never goes in 50/50 but likes a wee late one where he can leave a snidely calling card. Plastic hard man who gives a wee dig when you’re on the ground. Talentless pathetic excuse for a football player and long may Sevco fill their squad with crocks like this.
