Ange Postecoglou took the adulation of the Celtic supporters with style last night as he spoke at the top of the Celtic Way.
A year ago it was after midnight before the party bus returned from Tannadice but there was bright early evening sunshine as thousands of fans welcomed the players back from Tannadice.
With each passing week, month and trophy the bond between Postecoglou and the Celtic support gets stronger, the fans took instantly to their new manager who recognised the depth of backing from folk that had suffered a year without attending football matches.
This season the supporters have packed out Celtic Park while most SPFL Premiership clubs cut back on allocations to visiting supporters.
Just 1,200 Celtic fans were inside Tynecastle yesterday, none will be at Ibrox next week but there will be a full house when the hoops host St Mirren on May 20.

The Daily Record reports Postecoglou saying:
I don’t know if it feels more special but it makes me immensely proud that the group embraced that. After winning it last year, I was throwing some words out there about being stronger and bigger and better – all those kind of things.
I purposefully did that to throw out a challenge to the lads that we have to be a better team if we were to defend our title – especially being in the Champions League where people underestimate the physical and mental toll that takes on you. Through that time, our league form was outstanding.
That was because the whole group was prepared to drive through that time. We were never going to be derailed from our main challenge of being champions again.
I am immensely proud that the guys took on that mantle of being better than we were last year. The standard they have set this season has been unbelievable.
