Ryan Kent has introduced himself to Fenerbahce fans after signing a four year contract with the Turkish Cup winners.

It seems that after five years of ‘tearing teams apart’ at Ibrox the Step Over wizard is barely known outside of Scotland.

Even in England there wasn’t the slightest sniff of interest despite the Daily Record running the ‘Leeds poised to launch Kent’ swoop twice a year regardless of who was managing the Yorkshire club.

Apparently Burnley had joined the race to sign Kent but despite having Liverpool starlet stamped on his CV, at the age of 26 no EPL clubs were prepared to offer Kent a contract.

Initially sent to Ibrox on loan in the summer of 2018, a punch that Scott Brown bounced back from unscathed convinced Ibrox fans to demand a permanent deal for the winger.

Two trophy wins out of 15, a figure matched by a dozen St Johnstone players, was all that Kent managed although he will be fondly remembered for an 88th minute sitter in the final of the Europa League against Eintracht Frankfurt last year.

Meanwhile Porto, Sevilla and Inter Milan appear to have cooled their interest in Alfredo Morelos.

The Turks like to play their domestic football , shall we say … Vigorously ! Do you think for one nanosecond that Kent will be interested in getting crunched every week ? I don’t think so ! Did you notice there were no goodbyes or thankyou speech on camera from him to the Rangers fans and clumpany ,unlike the gushing and positive noises to his new employers …. Nothing also from the tabloid scoops about not getting a copper penny for the worst step over charlatan in football today ! How convenient ….

Up here, John, Kent was the cruncher, rather than the crunchee. He’ll have to man up to be a success in Turkey.

      Hail Hail.
