Larry Henry Jr has encouraging news for Celtic fan on two fronts relating to Cameron Carter-Vickers.
Over the weekend there were reports that the defender could be a transfer target for Spurs which is hardly surprising since he has been at the club previously while Ange Postecoglou made him pivotal to his Celtic plans.
The last time that Celtic fans saw Carter-Vickers in action was a typically brave and influential display in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup. Straight after the game it was revealed that his season was over with knee surgery undergone within 48 hours of the final whistle at Hampden.
Certainly will be plenty of interest in CCV after a treble-winning season in Scotland, but he is preparing to be part of Celtic’s season this year.

Brendan Rodgers will be keen to discover the timeline for the return of Carter-Vickers and ensure that he will be staying for the season ahead.
Remarkably the defender has never lost a domestic match over 90 minutes, his only defeat came in extra-time in the 2022 Scottish Cup semi-final.
Hendry Jr is the Editor of SBI Soccer in the USA and a highly reliable source of news on Carter-Vickers since he was first linked with Celtic two summers ago.
Newcastle United and Celtic are both neck-and-neck in the race for #USMNT defender Cameron Carter-Vickers, a source close to the player confirmed today. They are the frontrunners for a permanent transfer, neither is ahead of the other.
