The Daily Record is amusing their readers with news that an un-named club in Azerbaijan is being linked with a move for Alfredo Morelos.
In January 2018 the Record was gushing with excitement over an offer from an un-named Chinese club tabling an offer of Dembele Dollars for the Colombian ace.
Down the years Morelos has provided the Glasgow based publisher with millions of clicks as they speculated over non-existent interest in the striker.
Porto, Sevilla and Galatasaray were the clubs most regularly linked with the chunky Colombian, strangely now that he is available as a free agent all of that interest seems to have evaporated.
Tonight the Record reports:
It remains to be seen just where Morelos will end up, though with no transfer fee, interest could ramp up in his services from countries across the world. And that appears to be happening – with a move to Azerbaijan potentially in the offing.
According to reports in the country, an unnamed club in the Azerbaijani Premier Division has made an offer for Morelos. It is not known which club has made the offer.
A player who could have commanded an eight-figure fee in his Ibrox prime, a move to the Azerbaijani Premier League would see him move into relative obscurity, with just one Champions League spot available in the Azerbaijan top-flight. Other players released by Rangers have already landed new clubs, with Ryan Kent at Fenerbahce and Scott Arfield in the MLS with Charlotte FC.
With one winners medal to show for his six seasons at Ibrox Morelos is expected to return to Colombia next season with Mexico the only other likely destination.
Heading to Qarabag wae a Greggs carrier bag.
Hopefully he signs for the Azerbaijani team, they get drawn against the Orcs in the CL qualifiers and he scores to knock them out, sending them spiralling into a world of impoverishment and utter despair…. We all need some karma in our lives;-)
don’t be surprised if celtic sign him !!! lol
Since fat boy is a free agent who does the Hun news think they are making an offer to?
