The former Norwich City starlet moved to Ibrox in January, after failing miserably to get close to a medal he finished the season with some outstanding dead-rubber performances.

A month after his move from Norwich Micky Beale decided to leave Cantwell on the bench for the Viaplay Cup Final as Celtic picked up the first leg of the treble.
In April Cantwell lost twice to Celtic and also at Aberdeen as the Ibrox men wilted when faced with the prospect of delivering a trophy.
Pre-season begins for non-internationalists tomorrow- in less than six weeks time Cantwell will be playing in Champions League qualifiers looking to follow last season’s history makers.
