Peter Martin hasn’t held back with a blistering early morning attack on Brendan Rodgers.
Overnight it has been reported that Michael Nicholson and Chris McKay flew to Mallorca to hold talks with the Irishman over a return to Celtic Park.
Back in February 2019 there was a lot of anger over the manner in which Rodgers departed from Celtic, virtually overnight with three key members of his coaching staff included ahead of vital matches away to Hearts and Hibs.
Over the last week there has been a noticeable mellowing on hostility towards Rodgers from Celtic fans. In a narrow field he appears to be the outstanding candidate- but not with Martin!
While winning 2 back to back trebles and going invincible in a record breaking season and on the cusp of the treble treble. Faults on both side’s. Time to move on.

After stints on Radio Clyde and various media outlets Martin has set up PLZ Soccer which provides a daily, online talk show.
With media accreditation given to PLZ Soccer there could be interesting times ahead when Martin puts his questions to the next hoops manager with Rodgers now very clearly the favourite for that job.
Back in May 2018 Martin was the MC for a Celtic Foundation event in London with Peter Lawwell and Rodgers the star guests.
Peter, Hugh & such are irrelevant, if it’s the best way forward for the club (it is) then that’s all that matters……

and he knows how to deal with them – and their efforts at creating negativity around CFC.

Have to agree with him on the Euro stuff, Rodgers was mostly abysmal on that front. Add to the fact he’ll always have one eye on the door if an EPL job comes up and that he’s a sleekit self-centred bastard and we shouldn’t be even thinking about hiring him again, regardless of how well he’s done domestically. Knutsen for me if we can get him.
A Rodgers return has the smell of disease all over it, most likely from Lawwell’s very own hands.
If this is how low our once great Club has sunk, then I am glad that I am not patronising them!
If Rodgers returns then half the Celtic support had better start eating their own dirt because that is what they produced by the lorry-load when he left.
