Micky Beale has sent Glen Kamara into solo training in a bid to force the midfielder out of Ibrox.

Rumours of interest from Besiktas and Leeds United have turned out to be wishful thinking with the former Dundee star as desirable as Alfredo Morelos or Ryan Kent.

Not too long ago Steven Gerrard was discussing interest from Juventus but now into his fifth year at Ibrox it looks like the Finnish internationalist has lost his desire to play.

Without being involved in any pre-season matches there is unlikely to be a rush of interest in Kamara with a loan deal towards the end of the transfer window the most likely option.

Beale told The Sun:

Glen was obviously given an extended break at the end of the season due to internationals, then he’s had a sickness problem which has run on. He’s training in isolation just now, not with the group, trying to get himself up to speed.

There’s a lot in the background with Glen as well, with different enquiries and him talking to different people. So it’s best that he’s to the side of the group. I’ve got no issues with him on a personal level — it’s a conversation we had a good few months ago

A good few months ago, on February 26 Kamara was in Beale’s Starting XI at Hampden for the Viaplay Cup Final against Celtic with Todd Cantwell and Nico Raskin on the bench.

The former Dundee star is under contract until May 2025 after signing a deal under Beale’s boss Steven Gerrard.

Back in December Beale was singing a very different tune, asked about transfer speculation ahead of the January window he told Football Scotland:

In terms of the speculation, I think some of the clubs that are after him, in my opinion, the best version of Glen is too good to play for them. If the real Glen Kamara plays football, there will always be teams who want him.

For the last few months for whatever reason, he’s not always performed at the levels he can and he’s not always played as a starting player.

I watched back the game with Leipzig the other day and he gets a half-assist for the first goal in that game and obviously scores the second, so I know how good Glen is.

We have a fantastic relationship that goes back a long, long way and I’d always want him to be in a Rangers team that I was watching or I was coaching.

Seven months later it seems that Beale has had a change of mind.

So far Antonio Colak is the only player that Beale has managed to sell, after a day trip to Turkey Scott Wright returned to the comfort of Ibrox and the two remaining years on his contract.

Reading that it seems that Beale knows that there is a decent player there in

    Kamara with the required ability,

yet the Coaching Messiah is now admitting he couldn’t coach him back into the team?

Beale will have to be on his own game – to coach improvements into all those other

    underperforming / freebie signings he’s brought in…

Unfortunately for the ever-talkative Ian Beale, top european clubs don’t generally scour the Daily Record looking for signing tips, they have established scouting networks and recruitment teams, whose assessment of Glen Kamara is probably similar to ours. The Calvin Bassey sale was truly a once in a generation slice of good luck unlikely to be repeated with any of the existing squad or the wonky donkeys they’ve signed this summer, many of whom were available free and who couldn’t get a better offer than iBrox.

They just can’t accept that no-one wants there super duper players. You only have to look at those that left on free transfers with one in particular still unable to find a club to take him on for nothing. Outside of the blue haze and the smsm the reality in the real world is that their duds. Ajax must be over the moon to have passed another of them onto Fulham.

With the very fine and reliable information coming from this blog and others it looks as if they have plenty free sales agents acting on their behalf to sell who they wanna sell – and these very sales agents PAY SEVCO £25,000 a year for their work…

What other country in the universe would have that bloody absurd situation ! Not one – None is the answer…

All Celtic fans – Please DO NOT buy and keep these agents that pay Sevco handsomely alive –
