Yang Hyun-jun is planning talks with Gangwon President Kim Byung-ji this week to force through his move to Celtic.

A report in Korea Joong Ang Daily claims that talks between the two clubs started at the end of May but the obstacle now is that the K-League side want to delay the move until January.

Yang has looked on as Celtic signed Marco Tilio from Melbourne City with most clubs having lists of alternatives for whenever they hit a roadblock with a transfer.

Speaking to Korea JoonyAng Daily, the 21-year-old winger said:

I will ask to meet with president Kim myself and get it sorted out this week. I am a little frustrated because I heard Celtic are now looking for an alternative.

Gangwon are currently second bottom of the K-League with 13 points from 20 matches but seem determined to hold onto a player that has made it clear that he wants to move to Europe.

The fee of 2.5m euros should be enough to strengthen a couple of areas of the side but for some reason Gangwon are dragging their heels.

In similar circumstances Celtic sold Giorgos Giakoumakis and Josip Juranovic in January, brought in replacements and went on to clean up with three trophy wins.
