Lad- Alistair Johnston reacts to Celtic’s Wimbledon appearance

Alistair Johnston took time off from his injury rehab to watch the Men’s Final from Wimbledon.

A year ago one scene would probably have gone unnoticed by the Canadian internationalist but after six months at Celtic he views things very differently.

Underneath the Centre Court scoreboard, to the left as the cameras picked it up was a Celtic fan complete with his Treble t-shirt in among the tennis fans watching Carlos Alcaraz take the title from Novak Djokovic.

Johnston couldn’t resist a screenshot, adding the tag LAD as he took to Instagram and his 67,000 followers.

Fairly quickly Johnston has discovered the depth and passion of the Celtic support, after clinching the SPFL Premiership title at Tynecastle his car was mobbed on London Road as he drive towards the homecoming party.

Celtic tops are regularly spotted at top sporting events while at this time of year they can be found in almost all holiday resorts.

Hoops fans will be hoping to see Johnston back in action with the defender yet to resume full training after picking up an ankle injury on international duty last month.
