The real brilliance here was how the Sports Desk at the Daily Record sat on this story for a week.
Last Tuesday the loyal messengers trooped along to Murray Park to be introduced to the latest stars to sign up to Micky Beale’s Revolution.
Denied access to the state-of-the-art luxury training complex in Germany this week the daily papers were to wait for word over what day they could click on PUBLISH to share the insights with their loyal readers.
The usual hype and challenges to Celtic came from Kieran Dowell, Cyriel Dessers fancies becoming the top scorer in the Champions League but they were all outdone by Dujon Sterling.
The 23-year-old briefly crossed paths with Beale at the Chelsea Academy more than a decade ago but it seems that it was a life changing experience for them both.
Sterling was part of the u-10 North London Academy, Beale looked after the u-8s for South London but the magic in the air was real as the rookie Ibrox boss started to recruit his Gumtree Galacticos.
Apparently the guy that lost three and drew one of his four Must-Win matches against Celtic last season is actually a tactical genius, capable of laying out the cones and applying the bibs in a way that no one else could even imagine.
BINGO! What a story to lead off on as the Record team started their day feeding the delusions of their army of readers.
What a team what a manager. The genius finished the season trophy less

Amazing how they all bum this club up year after year after year only to get slapped down. Nothing but a fantasy club. Baffling yet highly entertaining

Aye he sure is, took over a team that went to a European final, added 2 players that we have been told are the best players in Scotland then watched us win a treble undefeated against him in 4 games before the usual oxygen cup win once our players downed tools

Are you sure he didn’t say , he’s done nothing and is short?

Rangers must be the only club in the world with the so called best players and so called best manager and so called dominate force but year after year after year they watch Celtic dominate but by the time the next season rolls by they are the favourites again apparently

Genius? The proof is in the pudding. We will all know next May. As a Rangers fan I always go into a new season full of hope. Sure all the smirking Celtic fans on this thread will watch all our games. Because at the back of their minds they will be thinking ‘what if…’

I wonder why he didn’t use his tactical genius to stop 2 trebles when he was here with Gerrard? ?

The only quote that was missing was, this time next year we’ll be millionaires.
When he described Mr Bean as a genius I was expecting him to be standing with a pint of Guiness in his hand.
Why even allow the SMSM to publish such nonsense?
We’d be embarrassed if one of our own new signings insisted that BR was a genius!
…and BR has actually delivered plenty of silverware in 2 countries.
The Ibrox PR & SMSM are just piling more pressure onto Beale.
Genius or not: Beale will be doing well to qualify for the Europa League Group Stage.
And, he’d still get pelters for achieving that – with his ragtag group of unwanted players.
Have a pipe at the ready for glory souvenir thing on their Twitter page
I thought it was a wind up
