A Japanese television crew has visited Scotland to get a feel for the adopted home of some of their top football players.

For almost two years Kyogo Furuhashi has been the hero of the Celtic support with significant support roles from Reo Hatate and Daizen Maeda.

The usual tourist spots in Edinburgh are well covered but 50 miles to the east a different world is uncovered as presenter Masanobu puts on the hoops, grabs a pint of lager and mingles with the regulars inside The Brazen Head.

The Gorbals pub is well used to its celebrity status with Jota the latest big name to have shown an interest, dropping in before heading home the only goal of the Scottish Cup Semi-Final against the Ibrox Tribute Act along the road at Hampden.

Masanobu is taken by the museum like appearance of the Brazen with every aspect of Celtic’s history celebrated on the walls and ceiling and brought to life by the punters enjoying their drinks.

Later this month Celtic will be playing in Japan, after taking a look at life in the Gorbals Japanese fans will have a more rounded view of life in Scotland.

The Brazen Head was a great boozer back in the day when I had a season ticket at Parkhead and I’m sure it’s still as good as ever but I’ve not been in for a while sadly after giving up ma season ticket when Doncaster said that ‘Rangers’ (Sic) it’s Sevco were ‘the same club’ – “absolutely” – And no one from the spineless, yellow and cowardly Celtic board counteracted that statement at all in public…

Oh Jeez – See the trouble Doncaster and all the governance of Scottish Football cause –

NB – The word governance is used in the very very loosest terms when discussing Scottish Football !
