Sydney van Hooijdonk is reported to be on Celtic’s transfer radar.
Ten days on from the Viaplay Cup defeat at Kilmarnock which exposed the limitations of the squad there are still no additions with less than three days remaining in the transfer window.
Van Hooijdonk spent last season on loan at Heerenveen where he had a decent return of a goal every two matches but it seems that Bologna are make a profit on the £1m fee that they paid NAC Breda for the striker two years ago.
Bologna striker Sydney van Hooijdonk is another player who has been on Celtic’s radar this summer.
His future still remains uncertain.@SkySportDe are reporting that Wolfsburg have made initial contact for the 23-year-old, who is the son of Hoops icon Pierre van Hooijdonk.

Celtic were reported to have made two bids for Brondby’s Mathias Kvistgaarden which suggests that they are in the market for a new striker.
Oh Hyeon-gyu is expected to resume training but the interest in Kvistgaarden suggests that another striker is required on top of Kyogo Furuhashi with Daizen Maeda an additional option.
Van Hooijdonk will know all about Celtic from his Dad, Pierre but whether he would want to come to Scotland as a back up option isn’t known although the interest in strikers could open up the option of playing with two strikers.
