Celtic and Benfica are still negotiating the final details of Paolo Bernandro’s loan move to the Scottish champions.
Word broke from Portugal on Tuesday that the midfielder was a Celtic signing target with Anthony Joseph reporting that the player is expected in Scotland today.
If Bernanrdo is travelling it seems certain that he will be following the path that Jota took two years ago with that deal surely the template for a new agreement between the two clubs.
UPDATE: Benfica midfielder Paulo Bernardo is due to arrive in Glasgow today ahead of a loan move to Celtic.
The two clubs are believed to still be in negotiations around the option-to-buy fee and sell-on clause. https://t.co/6ENmujJY3o

If all goes well Bernardo could be training at Lennoxtown tomorrow but it is quite a leap to expect the 21-year-old to be involved at Ibrox on Sunday.
A fortnight of training through the international break would put the new bhoy in line for a role against Dundee on September 16 before Celtic step into the Champions League in the following midweek.
Later this afternoon the group stage draw could put Celtic up against Benfica with the Portuguese side in Pot 1 with the hoops down in Pot 4.
Yesterday Celtic announced the signing of Luis Palma from ARIS Thessalonika with Nat Phillips signed on loan from Liverpool today.
