Odin Thiago Holm is looking to maintain the Norwegian traditions at Celtic.

Once upon a time Harald Brattbakk scored a very famous goal but in recent times there has been some other significant arrivals from the Norwegian league.

In January 2014 Stefan Johansen was signed from Stromsgodset before Celtic went back to the same club to appoint Ronny Deila as manager.

Kris Ajer was Deila’s last signing but never got the chance to work with the teenage midfielder from Start who was converted into a central defender by Brendan Rodgers.

Moi Elyounoussi had a fairly successful spell on loan but in his first signing second time around Rodgers rubber stamped the deal for the Valerenga midfielder.

The returning boss has plenty of midfield options but speaking to the Daily Record Holm is aiming high based on the recent experiences of Norwegian Celts:

Hopefully I can have a similar impact to what Ajer and Johansen had at Celtic. We all have the same agent and they’ve had positive things to say about Celtic. That’s why I knew this was the right move for me.

Ajer was a young player like me when he came here. He’s an inspiration in terms of what can be achieved. I think anything is possible here, if you get the time you need. If I’m patient, I can do well.

Hopefully, I can get into the Norway squad. If I perform for Celtic, I’ll probably get spoken about more and be mentioned for the national team.

Holm was a late substitute yesterday for Matt O’Riley as Celtic opener their Premiership campaign with a 4-2 home win over Ross County.

From his brief playing time so far, Holm looks like a player.

Young, humble, ambitious, keen to learn?

He’ll do a job for the team.

Lol so the computer picking out those 4 games to give sevco an advantage has BACKFIRED straight away after 1 game.
Now the PRESSURE is on sevco good and proper a slip up in this qualifying round Wednesday and anything but a win on Saturday against Livi and it’s P45 time for Mr Bealing.
The onion bears and others on their blogs are gearing themselves up for marches and protests outside stadium after the Livi game if they don’t get those wins.
