Words are barely needed when you are confronted by a cocktail of smiles and knuckles, Alan Muir’s assistant seems especially pleased to be sharing such a special moment.

It had been a long and controversial afternoon for all involved but the match referee and victorious manager seemed to be very pleased by the outcome.

The only goal of the game came in the 59th minute when Celtic were down to 10 men, not through a lack of discipline but as a consequence of Muir allowing the home players some extra leeway against their superior opponents.

Fifty-fifty challenges all went in one direction, taking that on board Daniel Armstrong smashed through Greg Taylor in the 56th minute, raising his elbow to his opponents head.

Muir felt obliged to award a free kick but nothing more. No yellow card, no VAR review and with the Celtic left-back off the pitch Kilmarnock took advantage to score against 10 men.

In the VAR room Don Robertson quickly shared some dubious lines with Viaplay Sports to justify his colleagues decision.

They do it because they get away with it and Celtic does and says nothing.

The elbow incident was almost a carbon copy of the assault on Kieran Tierney in the Scottish Cup Final by another of McInnes’ players which again resulted in no sanction for the thug committing it.

McInnes takes getting in your face to new levels, and still Celtic does nothing.

Where is the duty of care?

Exactly ! This is shocking I know we didn’t play to our strengths yesterday but having watched the game again I’ve been absolutely shocked at what was allowed to happen

A stonewall penalty Dirty trucks all round No consequence for GTs attack All true and mark my words This is going to be the norm this season and why ?

Because the Celtic board didn’t speak up on any of the other other assaults on Celtic players in the recent past

They quietly let it go So now the opposition know they’ll get off with it on it comes

The board should’ve made it clear in no uncertain terms this would not be tolerated

But they didn’t – and we still are No point in doing it when we’ve lost It’ll be all sours grape’s according to the media

Oh for a fighting Fergus McCann

I was in the pub watching that SHAMBLES of a game yesterday we could have played to Christmas time and still would never had scored.
Guys in the pub screaming for a penalty every time the ball went into the box is this the stage this team are at now screaming for a penalty against Killie to get back into game and try in win it,that is DESPERADO stuff.
I hope the Greeen Brigade step up the protests and BOYCOTTS because Mr McVittie and that board are heading for another Groundhog Day scenario when 10 in a row was lost and we ended the season with the middle of a ? doughnut cup.

The GB will not confront the board. These so-called rebels are nothing of the sort. They have a very cozy relationship with the PLC in general, and Blue Peter in particular…and for what? Match day tickets. They have sold themselves very cheaply indeed. Both the PLC and the sectarian bigots of the GB are no friends of Celtic.

      Hail Hail.

The CELTIC board can’t and won’t say anything about this incident as other decisions from last season show…… players were given retrospective red cards so the SFA/SPFL can say that they did something….. So my question to the CELTIC board is simple… when a decision is retrospectively upgraded what punishment was given to the TWO referees the 1 on the pitch and the 1in the VAR studio… and the punishment could be made public (I know it’s never going to happen) I would like the CELTIC board to pose the question…. but I would “love” to hear the SFA/SPFL’s answer …. and if the SFA/SPFL don’t answer…. the CELTIC board can make it public that they posed the question
