Giannis Chorianopoulos has tweeted that Luis Palma will travel to Scotland in the next 24 hours to complete his transfer to Celtic.
The editor of Sportstime has proven to be a very reliable source of all things Greek for Celtic fans covering Vasilis Barkas and Giorgos Giakoumakis.
Celtic’s interest in Palma was first revealed late on Wednesday night with a £3.5m offer getting both clubs into serious negotiations.
Palma can expect a massive increase on his current salary of £65,000 per annum with ARIS Thessalonika making a very healthy profit on the player that they signed from Honduran side CDS Vida 19 months ago.
? Luis Palma said goodbye to his ex teammates in Aris Thessaloniki in practice today. He is about to travel next 24h to Scotland to finalise his transfer to Celtic. Extra tip: his wages in Aris were €80.000 per season (yes 80) ??@CelticFC #ARIS #CelticFC #Celtic

Celtic will have got the ball rolling in terms of a work permit with clearances required from the SFA and Scottish Government.
Having recently brought two South Koreans to the club the process should be fairly straightforward with Palma in contention for a debut at Ibrox next Sunday.

Do those wages make him Celtic’s highest paid player ?
Editor: He will earn in a month what John Lundstram collects every week, same as Kemar Roofe.
