Six names in the frame to replace Beale

As Ibrox fans howl for the removal of Micky Beale a few perceptive bears have realised that they will need to find a replacement for their beleaguered boss.

So far no candidates have been spotted in the Louden Tavern pushing their candidacy.

On the back of the Ally McCoist experience the Ibrox club have steered clear of True Blue candidates but after Beale there could well be a clamour to bring in a local boss who understands the traditions and culture of the club, whatever that means.

Derek McInnes ticks every box imaginable but blotted his copybook in late 2017 when he ‘sh** it’ according to most bears when the reality is that he took a sensible career choice that going to Ibrox would be deeply damaging as Giovanni van Bronckhorst and now Beale is discovering.

Robbie Neilson and Davie Martindale would take the job on for washers but after a quick boost there is nothing to suggest that they could offer more than Beale with sound-bites and gimmicks.

With his £10m a year Gardening Leave deal from Chelsea Graham Potter is unlikely to be in a rush to try and salvage something from Beale’s spending spree.

Another exotic foreign name like Muscat or Arnold are likely to be intrigued but after a little due diligence and a phone call to Ange Postecoglou they are likely to make themselves unavailable. Like McInnes avoiding a career ruining move.

Will Micky Beale still be manager at Ibrox on Christmas Day?

Yes, he is the Brains Behind Gerrard, don't underestimate him

You could not mark the Huns necks with blowtorches honestly, Graham Arnold is a great coach and just knocked back Hibs, muscat is going great guns in Japan, and why do they want them? Coz they are Aussie and both were assistants to Ange and play the same type of game!!!.

THIS! After non stop personal attacking Ange the man, his manner, his style and football.

I do wonder why Robinson at St Mirren never gets mentioned…. did he go to the wrong school or something?!

  • Bob (original) says:

Any replacement of Beale is more likely to be a continuation

of the transfer strategy: only free / cheap managers to be considered.

An hungry, inexperienced, young manager, (like Beale? ), or a much older,

experienced, out of work manager – whose best years where a long time ago?

And with no CL money, it’s probably a ‘sell before you can buy’ transfer budget.

Think Beale will hang in there until year end, which would be fine by me! 🙂
