The attacks on Micky Beale have increased with Four Lads Had a Dream the latest to put the boot into the under fire Ibrox boss.

Since he raced down the tunnel to avoid the backlash after losing to Celtic there has been constant criticism of every aspect of Beale’s management. Not many bears are defending the Brains Behind Gerrard.

The boos and abuse at the final whistle has been commented on by pundits such as Kenny Miller, Kris Boyd and Barry Ferguson, the phrase toxic has been used with social media providing a platform since Don Robertson blew the final whistle on Celtic’s 1-0 win.

Four Lads are in the fan media circuit with a press box seat, invites to all media conferences and occasional interviews with people behind the scenes at the club.

Stevie Clifford is currently out of reach but another contributor has got a lot of frustration out of his system with a complete trashing of the coaching and tactical genius that is Mister Beale.

Coming on the back of Chris Jack’s defence of the Ibrox Directors in the Rangers Review and a complete overhaul of Scouting and Recruitment it is clear that there are people in the background attempting to make Beale as uncomfortable as possible.

Four Lads hits out with:

The manager targeted players to fit a certain formation in the summer. The lack of wingers at the club and signed by Beale meant we set up with a narrow midfield and attack with the main width coming from full-backs.

Pre-season was a slog with some evident difficulties in adapting to this set-up, but the hope was always that the manager with his reputation as coach would get to work on the training ground and get his message across to the team.

But it simply hasn’t happened and I’m not sure he is now clear in his own mind how he wants his team to play or set up.

Our biggest outlay in the summer was on Danilo and yet he has been benched in recent weeks as we have moved away from the double-striker attack. And he has been joined by Sam Lammers, another significant expense, who appears to have been dropped for big games by the same manager who brought him to the club.

It’s a worry, a real worry.

The back-line remains 75% of the same defence that was featuring half a decade ago. Our full-backs understandably are not at the same level as they once were and we haven’t really upgraded our central defence for a number of years. That’s simply not sustainable, especially at the top level in Europe as we discovered against PSV Eindhoven.

Where the club goes from here I have no idea.

CEO James Bisgrove is challenged on the failure to appoint a Sporting Director but tellingly there is no criticism of the Ibrox board, chairman John Bennett escapes criticism or even a mention despite pushing through a raft of changes since Douglas Park moved over as company chairman.

The attack concludes with:

It feels similar to the end of Van Bronckhorst’s tenure, or maybe even closer to Le Guen’s given the toxicity. You know how it is going to end but are just waiting for the crash to happen.

Obviously I hope I am very, very wrong and we’re sitting here months from now celebrating a resurgent Rangers. But is there anything – and I mean anything – pointing towards that happening at present? Sadly not.

I think that’s why fans have been so quick to turn because frankly there has been nothing to cling onto.

The old cliche says that “it’s the hope that kills you” but bloody hell the lack of it is even worse.

Roll on St Johnstone….

Beale is expected to face the media tomorrow. Saturday’s match at St Johnstone is followed by four home matches in 10 days, any slips during those matches could unleash a reaction even more toxic than at the final whistle against Celtic.

Well, toxicity has enveloped Ibrox for many decades before Beale or Le Guen turned

up there: it seeps out of every brick in that stadium.

Beale is doing what any rookie manager does when he hits a bad patch: he’s

struggling. The absence of a seasoned Sporting Director to provide Beale

with some sage advice probably doesn’t help either?

Whoever sevco bring in as replacement manager, they can’t offer a transfer

budget for January – so the role will only appeal to those who are just grateful

to be a manager of sevco: another inexperienced manager just like Beale,

or a seasoned manager with his best years far behind him – and who has maybe

been out of work for a good while?

It’s all good though: sevco won’t be the domestic challenge to us this year. 🙂

Beat whoever they’re playing at the weekend by more than two goals and these mugs and the media will be hailing this guy a football super brain again

  • Tony B says:

Stay where you are Moley Moley. Make them pay through the nose to get rid of you.

The entire Celtic support is behind you.

  • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

I’d normally be ‘Bealein’ that they had four home games in a row – But with that ‘support’ this anomaly could very well blow up in their faces big time and finish Beale…

They might only just tolerate not winning The Europa League Match but any dropped points / League Cup exit at Liebrox will be like Armageddon for them !

  • Scud Missile says:

Fart&Bland and 4 Fuds Had a Dream have the perfect opperchancity to ask Beale some proper questions tomorrow at the presser as they have access to him,but they will be well warned in ADVANCE not to give him a HARD TIME.
So all hunky dory at the BIGOT DOME.

  • Scud Missile says:

It must be time for the CHISLER to make one of his famous statement o’clock press interviews,he has been way to QUIET recently.
He must have Halloween Houston and few of the other ZOMBIES ready to create havoc.
Maybe a wee march around the area of the stadium by the ONION BEARS just to get things started off with a gentle push to upset Bennett&Bisgrove.

Mr muuuuuuuuuuuuurty !!!! it’s very hurty !!! please come back all is fergiven !!! chortle !!!

  • John Copeland says:

How is it possible for the Rangers to have 4 home games consecutively and all other clubs have a regular home – away rota ? Who programmed the super SFA/SPFL supercomputer to spit out an overwhelming advantage to the downtown Govan side ? Has anyone ever witnessed such a skewed scenario which benefits one clumpany over every other club ? I know I haven’t ! All it does is make people and fans alike think that is as bent as an Arabian dagger …..You will also notice that the SMSM scoops are remarkably quiet in their condemnation of this ridiculous situation ….funny that intit !

    • Terence Nova says:

John …I’m as angry as you about 4 home games…But without checking…I think two of them might be Cup draws (Europa and League Cups)…However I’ve already commented on the SPFL upcoming fixture list…IT’S RIGGED…No doubts about it.
But we can always rely on our Club to highlight theses anomalies…
      Oh no…wait a minute…
      Naw we canny.

    • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

John : ‘Who programmed The super SFA / SPFL supercomputer ?

Ian Maxwell – aided n’ abetted by John Bennett – aided n’ abetted by Rod Petrie – aided n’ abetted by Stewart Robertson as a ‘cheerio gratituidy’ !

25% each followed by a bucket of booze outta The Lovin’ Cup ! (Hateful Club though) !

  • Terence Nova says:

I just hope that if Mick does leave the building…he will do so with the money from the balance of his contract…safely tucked away.
That will add to their financial woes…not to mention the money that needs to be found for the new guy.
However…the way things are shaping up…its looking like he might throw in the towel and tell them to shove it.
And that’s what they’re looking for.
    HANG ON IN THERE MICK…

  • Scud Missile says:

The PRESSURE is now right on them as the after the St Johnstone game it’s games against Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen.
They got the so called easy teams for the first few games and look how that turned out,no room for ERROR now.
