James Forrest comes in to start his first match of the season as Celtic travel to Livingston.

The veteran replaces Luis Palma in the Starting XI as Brendan Rodgers stands by the bulk of the side that lost to Feyenoord. As expected Nat Phillips misses out.

With wins at Pittodrie and Ibrox already this season Celtic face another tough test with the plastic pitch at Livingston the biggest factor to overcome.

After troubles on that surface Ange Postecoglou delivered two successes over David Martindale’s side on the way to winning the title in successive seasons.

Full points today will lay down a marker by putting the hoops five points clear of second placed St Mirren who are at home to Hearts at 3pm.

John Beaton will referee today’s match with Steven McLean on VAR, last week Livingston drew 1-1 away to Ross County.

CELTIC: Hart; Johnston, Lagerbielke, Scales, Taylor; McGregor, O’Riley, Hatate; Forrest, Kyogo, Maeda

SUBS: Bain, Palma, Yang, Turnbull, Holm, Oh, Iwata, Bernardo, Ralston
