With the Don Robertson/VAR Deflection Squirrel running freely it seems that one Ibrox flashpoint has been airbrushed out of the mainstream.

Ibrox fans are absolutely raging at the defeat, even by their own standards of entitlement and delusion Sunday’s result was jarring with only one man to blame.

Ten months of unfiltered praise, crowing over signing a collection of absolute no-marks with barely an honour on their collective CV’s came home to roost as a motivated and organised Celtic side came away with the points from Ibrox.

There wasn’t a crumb of consolation to be salvaged, at the final whistle they looked across the pitch as Tony Ralston congratulated his defensive colleagues of a baby faced Swede, some guy from Shamrock Rovers and a sleepy Argie.

Early on Monday afternoon news was leaked to the favoured messengers about the letter sent to the SFA seeking an explanation over why the Laws of the Game were applied to disallow a ‘goal’ from Kemar Roofe.

Sky Sports and BBC Scotland have refused to go near the tag team attack on Kyogo Furuhashi when the Celtic striker was pushed by Jack Butland towards Connor Goldson who ensured that the striker ended up lying on the ground.

The overall incident has been reviewed in the media, Goldson praised for his recovery and block but the conclusion to the incident appears to have been embargoed.

Feeding the Deflection Squirrel Dermot Gallagher remains a trusted favourite despite last refereeing a match in 2007, in Scotland Steve Conroy and Des Roache continue to audition for a Sportsound seat alongside Kenny Macintyre, Tom English, Alasdair Lamont, Neil McCann, Kenny Miller, Jane Lewis, Richard Foster and Steven Thompson.

Seems like an ideal opportunity for our Board to write to the SFA about this…Oh wait…Our Board..??…Sorry, how stupid am I ??

  • Bob (original) says:

VAR aside: what the hell are the linesmen doing?

    What is their purpose?

  • Scud Missile says:

Lol you see this is when it all goes wrong for sevco, what both sevco players did to Kyogo and got away with it,when they try or do the same thing in a European game the foul and penalty is awarded against them for this but the players don’t understand it because it’s never a foul or penalty when they do this in the Scottish game.

  • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

We have WON the game – so the perfect time to shout from the rooftops about the penalties…

Sevco lost – Sour grapes if ever there was any, and if it was us squealing in defeat – Jeez just imagine the headlines –

I wonder if any Celtic fan would call in Clyde Superscoreboard to raise this with the panel – but they’d in all probability have to tell the producer that they wanted to talk about something else and then slip in the question or they’d never get near the phone line…

There was never any chance of Halliday mentioning it last night, he thought surprise, surprise that Lagerbielke wasn’t fouled – when is Mark Wilson on – If he mentions it then fair play, but an ex Celtic player ‘helping’ The Hoops through the media at the expense of Sevco will never happen and if it does once then it’ll never be happening a second time for sure !

  • Eldraco says:

I thought at the time in real time hang on! ,but of course the ball had gone dead out of play. No foul. Close though.
