The very limited pool of candidates keeping Micky Beale in a job

As he comes out of hiding today to face the media there is one crumb of comfort keeping Micky Beale in a job.

No one credible wants to succeed him at Ibrox with the only likely candidates almost as unpopular as the under fire rookie.

With 12 days to prepare for today’s media conferences Beale will be well briefed on his answers, how he’s had time to fink about fings and a lot of positive fings happening on the training ground. A dig or two about refereeing decisions and small margins are bound to be brought up which is a stretch to explain four defeats and a draw in five meaningful Glasgow Derbies.

Even the fawning fan media outlets have heard enough of that, defending Beale will destroy whatever credibility they have among the Gullible & Deluded.

After two hammerings from Celtic and a record breaking Champions League campaign almost anyone would have been welcomed at Ibrox as long as they replaced Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

Beale pushed himself shamelessly into the job- 10 months on he is less popular than the Dutchman who delivered a trophy, Champions League football and a meaningful win over Celtic.

Yesterday John Eustace clearly ruled himself out of the job, soon after Graham Potter made himself unavailable.

With no Sporting Director to call on Beale’s replacement will be decided by James Bisgrove and John Bennett, with their extremely limited contacts Beale might be two defeats away from the sack rather than just one.

That’s a very significant point raised:

the decision makers are Bennett and Bisgrove,

a financial services guy and a marketing / sales guy.

Also, IIRC, Dave King is still the largest shareholder (?) so he will have his input no doubt?

sevco could replace Beale with an even bigger loser if they’re not careful! 🙂

It’ll be hi Michael , thankyou Michael ,nice to see you Michael from the obedient scoops who shall be well warned not to give Beale a hard time . Pre selected questions of the soft sugary sweet kind with minimal intrusion ,as per , with the downtown Govan side’s head of communications surveying every single scoop ‘s word and sentence for the slightest troublesome circumstance ….Pass the choccy biccies ! .

Pass the choccy biscuits… And I’m sure your mouth is watering for The succulent lamb in The Blue Lounge… (or whatever it is called)

        Enlighten me captain ?

        • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

I think it was succulent lamb for them in the days of Murray – ultimately paid for by those that pay tax…

But they’re so skint it’s choccy n’ biccies now –

And the taxpayers will no doubt have to pick that tab up as well in the future when ‘The’ Sevco or ‘The The’ Rangers are born !
