Micky Beale has accused Don Robertson and Alan Muir of not doing their job correctly in the Glasgow Derby.

To be fair the Ibrox boss knows a fing or two about not doing your job correctly.

Beale made his claim in reference to the ‘goal’ from Kemar Roofe that Muir flagged up for a VAR review with Robertson disallowing it.

Neil McCann and others might not like the Law but as they say it is what it is. There are numerous examples of players blocking an opponent from completing the movement of passing the ball that result in free kicks being awarded.

Muir and Robertson have been heavily involved in a 58 match, 20 month run of the Ibrox club not conceding a penalty in the SPFL. It is four years since a Scottish referee sent off a home player at Ibrox.

9 minutes 30 seconds

There has been some fings that have not been ideal at the start of the season for one or two players but, in terms of not being available or not being in a fantastic place but Tom Lawrence is now fully fit, he comes into the squad.

Kemar Roofe has played the last two or free, he would have had two in two if the officials were have done their job correctly in the last game, so he is in a really good place unfortunately Todd Cantwell will probably miss the next free or four games as a result of the challenge at the end of the game.

Roofe didn’t look in a fantastic place when he was substituted against Celtic with Cyriel Dessers left on the park. Despite the challenge from Maeda putting Cantwell in a knee brace he stayed on the pitch playing on for another 13 minutes.

Towards the end of the conference Beale returned to the disallowed goal to describe the decision as regretable. The Ibrox media messengers were quick to report a letter being sent to the SFA complaining about Roofe’s disallowed ‘goal’ but there appears to have been zero follow up on the issue.

Referees not doing their jobs properly ? In which way ? By not giving the Rangers 4 penalties in a game….. consistently! Obviously !

  • the maister says:

    Just thinking!
Last Monday week Marin O’Neill was quoted as saying on Jim White on Talksport Radio that
    “Celtic Need A Strong Rangers.”
    Well that is pure doublethink!
    In fact it is
    “Rangers”
    who need a strong Celtic!
Or whatever the heck you want to call that at Ipox.
Rangers died in 2012 and a lot of people cannot accept that.
    Thanks for that Martin!

After that statement it is now official the world has gone mad.

  • Bob (original) says:

Beale should have remained hidden in the tunnel!

Two weeks later he is still blaming the match officials?!

Could have earned some respect if he simply owned that defeat,

maybe question his tactics – to take the blame off his players?

That might have been better received all round?

    Silly boy! 🙂

i fink it’s obvious the refs know they won’t get away with a full season awarding a penalty per game and not awarding one against sevco this season , they carried beale and his allsorts last season , it’s either their heads on the block or his , i fink !!! chortle !!!

  • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

If the officials had done their jobs properly Celtic would have had TWO penalties or at least one as one corroborated the other when Butland first and then Goldson shoved Kyogo in the penalty area while the ball was live in play…

He didn’t mention that strangely enough –

He will never ever match Brendan in a coaching capacity and Brendan’s wee toe knows more about football than Beale will ever even if he’s managing until he’s 100 years old…

But sadly Beale and Sevco are light years ahead of Brendan and Celtic when it comes to gamesmanship with officials and that’s St. Johnstone getting refereed differently to Sevco tomorrow for sure…

It’s high time that Celtic and Brendan realised that you get NOTHING, ZILCH, & ZERO for being Mr Nice Guy in this bloody rancid football country…
