Celtic are reported to be in contract talks with Matt O’Riley about extending his current deal.
Over the course of 18 months the midfielder has established himself as a key player in Celtic’s drive for success, playing a significant role in Sunday’s victory at Ibrox.
O’Riley is currently tied to Celtic until June 2026 but his profile is much changed from that of the 20-year-old that arrived from MK Dons in January 2022.
Celtic are expected to offer midfielder Matt O’Riley improved terms & an extension on his contract.
The 22yo was the subject of a £10m bid from Leeds United.

Last week in similar circumstances Liel Abada signed a new contract by adding 12 months onto the contract he had signed in July 2021.
Rewarding success with a significant pay rise while adding one year onto a contract seems a sensible way of doing business. There may be a get-out clause in the contract but Celtic could justifiably value O’Riley at 10 times the fee that they paid for him.
Having been developed through the Fulham Academy there is an extra premium on his value to English sides playing in Europe who need to have eight nationally trained players in their 25 man squad.
