Cyriel Dessers has promised Ibrox fans that the good times are just around the corner.

Last night on Super Scoreboard the former Cremonese flop was described as the Nigerian Kevin Kyle but after his goal against Motherwell made it three wins on the bounce the striker is confident that momentum is building for Bealeball.

Six matches into the SPFL season most Ibrox fans are convinced that their summer Revolution! is already dead in the water as they look back fondly on last season’s scoring exploits of Alfredo Morelos and Antonio Colak.

Two trophy wins in a decade have increased the doses of Deludemol among anxious bears but as The Sun reports Dessers believes that every single thing is going to be all right:

Listen, we are a good team. We just need some really big performances to get ourselves going and I think the result against Real Betis is the first step on that road.

If we can get it going over the next few weeks and in the cup too, I think we will be really hard to stop. We know the importance of silverware for this club.

With a contract that runs through until May 2027 Dessers is almost certain to outlast Beale and will probably be around longer than his successor.

The importance of silverware for sevco?

Hasn’t been going too well has it?

    St. Johnstone has more.

They do it over and over and over again – yapping and yapping and bragging to an only too willing to listen and compliant media about “what we’re gonna do” –

Fools the bloody lot of them – I’m just surprised that Penalty Tav hasn’t been the mouthpiece once again on this occasion though the reaction after their Glasgow Derby defeat might’ve spooked him a little –

I’m not sure what I want on Wednesday now – Livvy dumping Sevco outta The League Cup would be beautiful indeed…

The Flip side is that Beale would definitely be a goner by the Thursday morning !

“We just need some really big performances to get ourselves going”. Wow! Doesn’t get more insightful and profound than that. No sh1t, Sherlock! Cyriel Dessers, specialist subject: The Stark, Staring Bloody Obvious. As for the rest of that waffle, is it not just a variation on their tired old rinse and repeat “you’ll see the real Rangers next time” chestnut? Which, aside from being utter pish, conveniently overlooks the fact that the only way anyone might see that is if they held a seance or did an exhumation.
