Taking a break from watching the Ryder Cup, Alan Thompson tweeted his congratulations to Aberdeen on yesterday’s victory at Ibrox.
It was a noble gesture from the Celtic midfielder who was once pelted by snowballs at Pittodrie.
Twenty years ago Thompson was in his pomp with the brilliant knack of scoring in the Glasgow Derby, a fixture he revelled in although it did come with two red cards picked up at Ibrox.
Up early to enjoy the golf on Friday Thompson tweeted using a three letter word beginning with h that brought the snowflakes flooding onto his timeline.
That tweet was deleted and reworded, it surfaced in the mainstream but Thommo got on with enjoying his golf on Friday as Europe took a commanding lead.
How’s the burnt bagel and orange juice now alan. Bet it was delicious ??

The good new continued on Saturday as Celtic delivered a late win at Fir Park, later in the afternoon the gap over their so-called Glasgow rivals finished up at seven.
Today the former England midfielder can enjoy a day in front of the telly with his breakfast and lunch watching the golf knowing that life in the city he left behind is looking comfortingly familiar.
The difference is Alan we can have banter about over the years with results etc. but that lot always have to get personal & nasty which tells me they are really unhappy in the own life’s. Have a good weekend mate ?????
