In the 95th minute of yesterday’s match at Motherwell Blair Spittal scored a goal that sent a shudder of excitement all the way through to Clydebank.

Sitting in the Super Scoreboard studio observing the action Hugh Keevins immediately sprung into life as he anticipated doom and gloom for the champions.

An additional five minutes was scheduled for the game at Fir Park but treatment to Greg Taylor and Motherwell’s goal celebrations meant that there was still a few minutes left to play. A previous Celtic manager once said We Never Stop.

Throughout their history Celtic have made a habit of scoring late winning goals, usually between the 85th and 90th minutes.

There days matches tend to hit the 95th minute or go beyond, there was still time for another goal at Fir Park- and so it proved.

Matt O’Riley popped up in the 97th minute with his fifth SPFL goal of the season to give Celtic full points with the pressure proving too much elsewhere with the teams in second and third place both dropping points as the gap at the top increased to four points.

  • BriBhoy says:

You knew we’d get a late winner and the Huns would get gubbed the minute the Mystic Meg of SSB opened his mouth yesterday.

  • TimGreen says:

I must be just about the only guy in the country who has never heard Keevins’ voice. I occasionally see headlines attributed to him and recognise him as a classic stirrer – a controversialist – whose only role is to generate anger and reaction. Best response? Ignore him and his media platforms and he’ll soon be put out to pasture. Reacting and responding just shows you’re falling for the media manipulation.

  • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

He’ll likely be on, on Monday and it’ll be good to hear his pain along with whatever Hun that they wheel out…

I don’t always listen to Clyde Superscoreboard but this upcoming week is gonna be….

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo very very very BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL !!!

  • John Copeland says:

There were an awful lot of haemorrhoid , sorry tabloid scoops crying into their blue Curacao drinks yesterday after the Rangers were soundly beaten by Aberdeen at Ibrox . On all kinds of media platforms throughout wee Scotty land ,there was this sad hush which descended onto everything . The commentators ‘ voices dropped down quite a few decibels with a ‘ going out of business ‘ ambience every where …. it was sadder than sad , sadly !

  • Bob (original) says:

First time I’ve heard his voice for many years.

Still sounds like your typical, smug, know-it-all – but who is really thick as mince.

His DR ‘articles’ I do read for a laugh: simple, off-the-cuff drivel.

And the really hilarious point is: Keevins is effectively the ‘doyen’ of the SMSM!

…unsurprisingly, the rapidly declining SMSM. 🙂

  • Rob O’Keeffe says:

Keevins is a complete merchant banker. He used to be a Celtic man but moved to the dark side during the EBT years. Should’ve been retired years ago.

  • larsson7 says:

    Keevins s let’s no go there……..
    He tries to demeanour people.
    Not a nice man.
Should have been put in a home somewhere years ago, can’t stand his type.
I wil finish on a good note, what a victory for Celtic again, and Keevins again shown to be a Charlatan.

  • Charlie Green says:

I have said this before, Keevins stuck his neck ot years ago and was threatened and since then he has sung another tune. It isn’t the Celtic fans he is kidding on.
