With no chance of a management job in England Micky Beale is planning to take a world tour to become an even better coach than he already is.

Seven weeks ago he was preparing to take the Champions League by storm but in a return to reality he is now looking to lay out the bibs and cones in Brazil and Japan as he continues his incredible coaching journey.

According to his media messengers he was turning down the chance to join Wolves a year ago before pledging his undying devotion to Queens Park Rangers.

An ill advised trip to the Louden Tavern to pile the pressure on Giovanni van Bronckhorst soon followed after a prolonged campaign through social media to build on his reputation as the Brains Behind Gerrard.

Ten disastrous months in charge at Ibrox punctured by losing every big match he played including four to Celtic had Beale sussed with the sack coming after a home defeat to Aberdeen that left the Ibrox Tribute Act trailing Celtic by seven points after seven matches.

Feeling sorry for himself the Ibrox flop took to LinkedIn to explain his plans:

For the first time in 20yrs, I have the time to reflect and visit, learn and watch others at work. From 2003 to 2023, Chelsea FC to Liverpool FC, São Paulo FC, Liverpool FC, Rangers FC, Aston Villa FC, QPR FC, Rangers FC I’ve moved immediately from one role to the other without a break between roles. 6 unique and elite clubs and an amazing journey to this point.

The next two months, I plan to visit Brazil again to visit some friends, then onto the MLS to catch the playoffs and finally making that promised trip to Japan to see the J League up close. I hope to reconnect with lots of familiar faces on my travels. I am fascinated about the different cultures of the game and how it’s viewed differently across the world.

This is what makes our game so unique and exciting. The game has given me so much. The next decision will be the most important one as I continue my journey as a coach, manager, mentor and student of this wonderful game.

Coaching Chelsea’s u-8 squad in North London and the Liverpool u-5s isn’t really the sort of thing that an elite manager puts on his CV. Even QPR fans wouldn’t describe their club as elite level.

After his loyalty pledge to QPR then undermining van Bronckhorst, Beale knows that there isn’t a club in England that would go near Gary McAllister’s assistant cone placer.

Travelling all over the world ( funded with payoff money for being a disaster ) wangling his way into clubs on the way with his motor mouth

You’ve got to hand it to this guy

I’m beginning to like him now

Not a fully true CV as Rangers are dead (c.2012)…

However there is one Rangers in there – Queens Park Rangers –

He wasn’t very loyal to that (proper) Rangers though…

Not that that club portrays themselves as anything like that – They even play in Hoops !!!

The game’s given him a lot, I’ll grant him that. Though ‘why ?’ is another matter.

Looks like Sevco are giving him a lot John…

Brazil, The MLS, and then Japan – And all on full pay from The Sevco Hunnies –

Oh Micheal, they have taken you away…
As you stole John Bennett’s corn,
      To enjoy Brazil’s nice morn…

    It’s a funny old game…

What are the chances that, in the absence of better / any offers,

Beale will now ‘be linked’ with every other SPL managerial vacancy ?

Well, he does have Scottish footy experience… 🙂
