On the bus ride back from Tynecastle Tomoki Iwata decided to dig into the Gallery on his phone to mark his first goal as a Celtic player.

The midfielder has yet to start a match but that is hardly surprising with the trio of Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate and Matt O’Riley growing stronger match by match.

Iwata moved to Celtic in January after completing the J-League season and finished the Scottish campaign playing in central defence as the Scottish Cup was clinched with a Hampden win over Inverness Caley Thistle.

The Jimmy Wig is popular with tourists to Scotland with Russ Abbott introducing it on his Madhouse TV show in the eighties.

Iwata was a 66th minute substitute for Reo Hatate today and was quickly involved in the thick of the action as Hearts looked to build on Lawrence Shankland’s goal in the 64th minute.

Celtic had to wait until the 81st minute to restore their three goal lead but it was a memorable strike in keeping with the quality of the others in the match.

Oh Hyeon-gyu had a couple of swiped at converting a low cross from James Forrest, Iwata only needed one invite as he cracked in a ferocious angled shot from 10 yards out that hit the underside of the crossbar, struck the ground then flew up into the net.

Brendan was class today with the BBC interview,he mentioned how the teams that have improved since his first time in charge at Celtic.
He gave a few teams a mention but sevco wasn’t even on the radar, the klan klub and fans won’t be pleased and neither will their friends in the media.

I apologise for this not being in relation to this article but I applore the content reviewers to pass this up the chain to the editor in the hope that he has a contact on the board of the daily record or other journalists at the Herald or Scotsman to make aware of the lowest point of intelligence I have now witnessed in journalism.

The article can be found here:

    https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/3-key-hearts-vs-celtic-31251748

    I enclose the section

“A year to the day since VAR was given it’s live TV debut in Scottish football and Hearts hosted Celtic at Tynecastle again.

They served up a four goal thriller then, with Greg Taylor’s late winner separating the sides after chaos reigned as the technology was really put to the test. It was a much tamer affair this time around, with the Hoops easing past their hosts to re-establish their seven point lead at the top over Rangers.”

Now the game he is referring to was the Hearts 3 – 4 Celtic!!!!!!!!!

    Not a 4 goal thriller!!!!!

Now maths obviously isn’t this guys strong suit, however when a journalist with supposedly a degree in journalism cannot add 3 + 4 and get 7,( AND HE GETS 4!) Which is something my cousin’s 4 year old boy can manage then we surely are at journalism’s lowest level. Because he wrote this, it was then proof read and then again read by an editor and published. So we have a journalist, a proof reader and editor at the daily record that cannot add 3 and 4!! Or the footballs proof reader and editor don’t know or remember the game!!!!!!!!!

What makes it worse is that he says a Taylor late winner separated the sides.

Now in a 4 goal thriller, 1 goal cannot separate the sides as a winner, as the only mathematical results in a 4 goal thriller in any game are as follows: (only using Heats v Celtic But does work everywhere, just pointing this out to the journalist and daily record employees)

    Hearts 4 – 0 Celtic (4 goals)
    Hearts 3 – 1 Celtic (4 goals)
    Hearts 2 – 2 Celtic (4 goals)
    Hearts 1 – 3 Celtic (4 goals)
    Hearts 0 – 4 Celtic (4 goals)

So any win in a 4 goal thriller is by at least 2 goals, not a solitary strike from Gregg Taylor!!!!

Is it too much to ask for a journalist who can f*cking add 3 + 4???????

    • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

That’s why they are on the road out and circulation figures indicate a trend that they will be out of existence in the reasonable near future…

It cannot come a day too soon for me !

  • Colin Hughes says:

John take care of you blood pressure, the report was either hacked by or written by the unseen fenian hand, who obviously doesn’t give a fvck about losers. N’est pas?
