It appears that Hugh Keevins and David Tanner have been out on the lash sharing their passion for all things Celtic.

Whether it is the club itself, the fans, players or manager there are few things that they detest more than covering the latest successes for Glasgow’s Green and White.

On Twitter TalkSPORT’s Scottish correspondent decided to pile into Daizen Maeda with a side reference to Brendan Rodgers, in the Daily Record Keevins has Celtic toiling to stay within sight of the Clement Revolution at the New Year.

For the veteran Shock Jock there seems little point in Celtic turning up today against Aberdeen with the SPFL Premiership trophy about to be decked out in red, white and blue ribbons despite the false start from Micky Beale.

Less than three months ago Rodgers was on doom-watch as he squared up to the former Liverpool u-5s coach who had just toured Europe and snapped up the finest striking talent from Serie A.

Whatever the scenario you can rely on Keevins drooling over the prospect of what will unfold if Celtic lose their next three matches. Unfortunately even his own publisher has to admit that Celtic are eight points ahead of the Ibrox Tribute Act.

Back in August 2016 Keevins and his old Radio Clyde buddy Derek Johnstone were predicting an early exit for Rodgers first time around with the Irishman about to be swamped by the Mark Warburton Express.

After one domestic match in 2021 Keevins explained to his loyal readers that the Australian guy in Glasgow was Absolutely Not Good Enough.

Following a run of five trophies out of six that destroyed two duds in the manager’s chair at Ibrox the Reach Group continue to pay Keevins to share how much he wants Anything, Everything at Celtic to fail.

September circulation of the Sunday Mail fell to 53,675, a drop of 18% year on year with Reach announcing in midweek that 12% of their workforce are facing redundancy as they toil for relevance in the digital age.

With Keevins’ content firmly aimed at a rapidly declining demographic it isn’t hard to understand why it is almost all over for those trying to earn a crust sharing how much they detest Scotland’s most successful football club.

Sorry guys…but articles about him and hundreds of comments are exactly what he’s looking for…Keeps him in a job…Ignore the bar steward ….totally.

Editor: Digital advertising provides the Record/Mail with very little income but online exposure kills off any remaining respect and credibility.

    • Terence Nova says:

      I don’t understand your reply…They don’t have any respe.ect or credibility…But we’ll agree to disagree.

Editor: Believe it or not the Record still carries some credibility, politicians like to get their message out on their pages despite the growing ridicul

This is what happens when left on your tottie scone nobody to clean the shite from your arse and to change your pished stained trousers, you sit there covered in the above mentioned and then start to talk what your sitting covered in,and he does reek of pish and shite.

We are 8 points clear of the CHEATING KLAN KLUB from ibrox who have a number of heavy duty games coming up all away from home and he is telling us sevco are champions already.

Also with sevco continuing to play the Europa league on a Thursday every week they are playing catch to ourselves as we will be playing on a Saturday a day ahead of them, and yet auld pishy shitey trousers has the pressure on us.

do remember that speaking highly of Celtic does not sell newspapers.

  • John Copeland says:

This latest diatribe from the old QEII must have been commissioned from above by a daily Record boss …an editor ! Not only that ,but Keevins obviously has been told to ‘ruffle a few feathers ‘ whilst doing so ?This piece of crud imagination from the Record once again proves the professional jealousy it has for Celtic FC and continual success . After all that is said , there are ‘suits’ at Parkhead who continue to endorse the rag publication with certain information when deemed appropriate on a first call basis ! When are these people going to realise that the daily Record are not , have never been and never will be friends of Celtic FC ….cut off the snake’s head and it won’t bite any more !

  • bertie basset says:

keevins has not had a positive word to say about celtic , his recent resurgent rangers needed a second penaltyeand 9 extra minutes to win against the don’s thank’s the kindness of cheatin beaten , he’s doing much the same as beale who was awarded a penalty per game to save his ar$$ , no mention of going for 67 matches without a penalty been awarded against sevco , no var scrutiny from the refs regarding all things sevco ,
he couldn’t wait to condemn ange to doom when he first came to scotland and his predictions of his demise was wrong for all to see , yet after 4 matches and against a crap sparta he is the sevco saviour , i believe it is the kiss of death for clemintine from the slug sleeveen

Must admit, as much as I do like Sutton,

I am disappointed he writes for that rag.

He’s not exactly short of media gigs… 🙁

    • bertie basset says:

i’m more surprised he’s got a gig on there as it is clearly a spouting sevco supporting pish daily , sutton at least gives a celtic slant on the the evil taking place in scottish football

    • Scud Missile says:

Maybe Sutton could call bluff and call him out in the article.

      • Bob (original) says:

        Ha!

Now, if Sutton called out Keevins in his own DR article,

I would pay money to buy that newspaper edition!

  • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

Absolutely BRILLIANT BRILLIANT news about that 18% drop in sales and staff being cut to the bone…

Oh The Dole, The Dole for them – Or 12% them this time –

    Absolutely BEAUTIFUL !
