The Daily Record has lovingly reported on the anti-Irish banners on display from Lazio fans at their Champions League tie against Celtic.

Some letters are pixelated from the images but the detailed reporting leaves little to the imagination with the story greeted with glee on the darkest message boards.

There is more glee than condemnation in the reporting from the Record who have a long history in revelling in such stories.

Had the banners been targetted at any group other than Irish or Catholic the Record would have toned down the nature of its coverage.

Throughout the summer months Glasgow, Ayrshire and Lanarkshire hosts marches to celebrate the hatred of Catholics and Irish people with barely any condemnation from the Glasgow based publishers.

Print sales of the Daily Record was down to 55,833 on average through October with the 50,000 barrier expected to be broken next summer.

Not only that ,but 3 senior print scoops – Berry , Newport and in particular McDermott absolutely castigated any thoughts or discussions that the Rangers get preferential treatment from refs and officials ! One of those ‘absolute garbage ‘ defences for their pet project ! There was no neutral ‘ I can see where the narrative comes from ‘ about these guys ! But they did say that Barry Robson was going down a ‘ dangerous road ‘ with his after match comments . God only knows what the implications are for that warning ? With 3 obviously ‘dyed in the wool ‘ tabloid typists having the Rangers’ back , the tribute clumpany have nothing to fret about … WHATSOEVER ! SCOTLAND’S CHAMPION ……
