With finances in the spotlight this week the great and the good on Follow Follow have been discussing how their Tribute Act can compete with Celtic on level terms.

Last week James Bisgrove set them off and running with exciting plans for a new look 70,000 capacity stadium which is as likely as a £20m offer from China for Alfredo Morelos.

After the miracles of bringing in serious transfer fees for Calvin Bassey and Joe Aribo in the summer of 2022 reality returned with undisclosed fees received for Glen Kamara, Fashion Sakala and Antonio Colak.

There is absolutely no value left in the squad that Philippe Clement is working with but there are always some imaginative bears out there spreading good news.

Jack Butland might be able to attract some offers but there was no interest in him from England during the summer. Outside of Ibrox clubs can see straight through Todd Cantwell while Nico Cantwell has his work cut out replacing John Lundstram and Ryan Jack never mind earning his dream move to Chelsea.

Last season the Ibrox wage bill rose by £10m which will have included the deals signed by Rabbi Matondo, Ben Davies and Ridvan Yilmaz.

It will require more loans from Directors to fund any January signings, a year ago Beale signed up Cantwell and Raskin with even that level of investment looking unlikely with six weeks to go until the January window opens.
