Celtic have bizarrely been linked with signing another centre half!

In January Yuki Kobayashi joined the hoops, during the summer Gus Lagerbielke and Maik Nawrocki were signed up with Liam Scales returning from a season on loan at Aberdeen.

Last week Brendan Rodgers spoke of his expectation for more players to go out than come in during the January transfer window with 33 players featuring in the official first team photograph.

Nathaniel Adjei, an u-23 Ghana internationalist is impressing at Hammarby, with the Swedish season coming to an end he is expecting to be transferred with the Sky Sports rolling Transfer Blog reporting at 17.10 yesterday:

Rangers and Celtic are among a host of clubs monitoring Hammarby centre-back Nathaniel Adjei.

The 21-year-old has had a breakthrough season in Sweden, including making his European debut, after being promoted to the first team by now QPR boss Marti Cifuentes.

Teams in Belgium and Italy also hold an interest in Adjei while a Rangers representative has been to watch the player in person last month.

Adjei is likely to assess his options once the Swedish season finishes in the middle of November with a potential January move a possible outcome.

The Hammarby defender seems to have very similar experience to Lagerbielke who hasn’t had any game time since being sent off away to Feyenoord in the Champions League.

With Liam Scales now established as the preferred partner to Cameron Carter-Vickers and Nawrocki costing Celtic £4.3m during the summer it seems that central defence is already an area of the side that the hoops are very well covered in.

Our CB situation reminds me of Corpy buses…Wait for ages…Then 5 turn up…We need this guy like a hole in the heid….

Probably just his agent trying to drum up interest. Expect more of this nonsense/bull ahead of the next transfer window. Unless he can also play in goal, I doubt there’s any truth in it.

That’s a position we should be looking at and one we need to get someone like that guy Lunin in from Real Madrid to fill. Not some 8th choice EPL U19 “prospect” player.

Another striker – ideally one that can take and actually score a penalty – would also be helpful, along with maybe another left back, although Scales can play there too, I guess. Bernabei is certainly never getting a look in, rightly or wrongly, so maybe it’s best to cut our losses there.

I’ve been wondering for a while if big Joe has a deal with the wee wummin who washes the 1st team kits not to get his dirty.

It’s becoming all too obvious that he won’t make an effort to throw himself in the direction of any “incoming” because the St Mirren goal on Wednesday night was a joke.

He would have had half a chance of saving it if he had thrown his arm up in an effort to stop the ball but was nothing but a static presence on the goal line.

Seems to me he is a good shotstopper but not one who has control of his six yard box.

I love the big guy but it looks like his reflexes have gone because he doesn’t seem to attempt any kind of defence if the ball is out of his immediate vicinity.

We desperately need a top class additional keeper because he is our best hope atm and l dread if he becomes injured or suspended as the others don’t inspire confidence in me or more importantly our back four.

It could be the difference between winning and losing the league this season.

Ps,we also desperately need a top class striker to back up Kyogo for the same reasons as we saw on Wednesday how easy it is for him to pick up disciplinary points for feck all.

He looks rubbish. Seen better from Livingston defenders.

If the Celtic hierarchy were serious, we’ed never have lost Starfelt.
    Fockin’ joke!
