Even by the standards of the Tribute Act Todd Cantwell’s dive at Aberdeen was something special.

Trailing to a 10th minute goal from the homeside the former Norwich City starlet was doing very little out on the right wing with Jose Cifuentes preferred by Philippe Clement in the centre of the park.

Facing upto four Aberdeen defenders and still looking for his first SPFL goal of the season Cantwell decided to go for the truly spectacular.

There was minimal contact from Ryan Duncan’s arm but why that resulted in Cantwell throwing his legs up in the air only Connor Goldson could answer.

Nick Walsh saw it clearly and took no action, preferring to tell off the Aberdeen players for complaining.

After the adulation of Micky Beale it seems that Philippe Clement is less impressed by the Flying Barbie, finding an English club prepared to match Cantwell’s Ibrox wages won’t be an easy task when the January transfer window opens.

Watch his feet, already in launch mode as the soon as the touch is made. In other words in anticipation of a touch he is already in motion ,clearly defined as an attempt to gain an advantage by way of a foul against an opponent.

Compliance should attach a penalty, the club a fine , the ref censured.

Am sure his manager is well pissed by this bloke , I have kangaroos out front that don’t get that high first jump.
