After three SPFL matches Hugh Keevins is projecting Philippe Clement as a top level EPL manager in waiting.

After 90 minutes in charge of Celtic the veteran Daily Record columnist was informing his dwindling readership that the new hoops boss was Absolutely Not Good Enough.

With each change in management it takes less and less to spark scenes of celebration among the Scottish media with Keevins sharing his views a few times a week on Radio Clyde.

Two years ago he was drooling at the tweaks employed by Giovanni van Bronckhorst to Steven Gerrard’s squad. At the start of the year the Brains Behind Gerrard was being dubbed as the brightest young coach in the UK.

With a squad that contains Tavernier, Goldson, Barisic, Jack and Lundstrum it never ended well for either Messiah’s.

It seems like a few fireworks at Dens Park got the juices flowing for Keevins, the hope that Someone, Anyone at Ibrox can bring a halt to Celtic’s unmatched run of domestic success.

This morning Record readers can raise expectation levels as they are informed:

You could hardly call four games a body of work but Philippe Clement, based on the evidence gathered so far, could be Rangers’ Ange Postecoglou.

Ange took six games to work out Scottish football when he arrived from Japan to manage Celtic – then he dominated our game until he left for Spurs.

Clement has yet to lose a match and has started to get a tune out of players who were only capable of one bum note after another under his predecessor Michael Beale.

Every time Clement speaks he makes Beale sound like a bigger, even more regrettable, error of judgment by those who hired him.

Asked last week if he could offer an opinion on Rangers’ chronic injury list, the Belgian said he could but his answer would not be for “you guys”. In other words, a media black-out to prevent defamatory material becoming public.

Making Beale sound like an out of his depth competition winner isn’t the sign of an outstanding manager, it simply exposes the media messengers that happily passed on the words of the former QPR rookie as gospel to the Gullible & Deluded.

Between November 26 and December 30 Clement faces trips to Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs, Motherwell, Betis and Celtic. If all remains happy and glorious after that run Keevins will have genuine reasons to feel excited about the latest Ibrox Revolution.

Lol auld PISHY at his best when licking the arse of a sevco manager, long may it continue.
Watch out for Hearts getting another at least 2 penalties against them today with a man sent off on the first as well as another in the second half just for good measure and to make sure of that belt and braces path to the final.

sevco got their first corner in the 40 th minute of the second half , duckss’s last chance to give a penalty for an innocuous shirt tug , part and parcel of the game across the planet ,
only for this penalty and cheatin beaton Clementine would be a further 3 points behind celtic , ange 2 me horlicks , as we know with a sleeveen like keevins his predictions alway come back to bite him in the a$$

All based on pumping just up from the championship Dundee who have 11 points in ten games

Half time against Hearts last week they were getting booed off the pitch

  • Dinger says:

I wonder how the media would handle it if Celtic were 66 league games without a penalty given against them
