Neil McCann has called for an investigation into VAR with transparency somewhat cloudy during Celtic’s 3-0 win away to Ross County.

With the match goal-less a well timed run by Oh Hyeon-gyu ended with the ball being bundled into the net from close range.

Daizen Maeda is possibly the fastest player in the SPFL Premiership and appeared to time his run perfectly.

There was an ominous pause before Andrew Dallas ruled the ‘goal’ offside although the supporting evidence shown by Sky Sports was far from clear.

Watching Sportscene, the Daily Record reports McCann saying:

I know VAR is a computer decision almost but if we’re disallowing goals for a hair’s breadth, we need to take a look at it. If the lines are touching then clearly the advantage is given to the attacker and I thought that should’ve been given.

There has to be human input to these decisions, if it wasn’t one central VAR operator could announce decisions on several matches at once.

The image used was a good few yards behind the line required and seemed to halt a split second after the ball was played through for Maeda to run onto.

A few weeks ago Crawford Allan showed Sky Sports through a couple of VAR decisions including a downgraded red card from a match last season.

Until the SFA and SPFL produce clear 3D images and an explanation there is always going to be controversy over decisions taken remotely.

Daddy got booted out of football for being a proven sectarian bigot

Son had to retire before he also got booted out after horrendous performances as an official which showed him up to be totally inept

He should be nowhere near professional football in Scotland , the fact he’s been given a job as a full time VAR operator is sinister as f*ck

    He’s around for two things

1 . To cheat in favour of Rangers

2 . To try and f*ck Celtic over at every possible chance he gets

Our club should be going after this guy , just like that lot do with certain officials

Distraction I have been using, is a line from a song.

Quite frankly I believe we are definitely being distracted. Why? GB has everyone focusing on what’s going to happen who made that happen the Celtic Board.

Why? It takes the scandal away from the fact they have given each other a big fat pay rise. The fact that they do hee haw over matters that the Celtic supporters want answers ie. VAR, disgusting accusations about our club and being verbally abused and physically attacked by that mob.

Nothing, Nada, zero, Zilch. We are being led on a path that I for one can see this happening.

This Board has a lot to answer and here we are again waiting on the sidelines when it’s staring us in the face. United we stand divided we are conquered.
