Chris Sutton wasn’t slow to point the finger of blame following Celtic’s 2-0 home defeat from Hearts.

Players, directors, coaches and Recruitment chiefs play a role but ultimately it is on the manager to put a team on the park capable of beating Hearts.

When you have Callum McGregor, Matt O’Riley and Kyogo Furuhashi you have a head start on everyone else but after 18 SPFL matches Celtic have dropped points in five of them and been knocked out of the League Cup in their first match.

Should Peter and Mark Lawwell be removed from their jobs?

Yes, enough is enough

No, big Peter will save us

Taking over a Treble winning squad should have been a fairly straightforward task for an elite manager as Brendan Rodgers has been branded.

Seven summer signings have left fans scratching their heads and wondering why, after making five substitutions today none of Rodgers’ summer signings were on the pitch at the final whistle.

A lot of questions are going to be asked in the coming days, it will be a very long week before Livingston come to Celtic Park for the next instalment.

Rodgers has to take 90% of the blame. He watched that Kilmarnock game unfold and done F -all about it, he has made the best striker since Larsson look shit, the f***er is on a 3year contract, so he is winner, winner, some supporters can’t afford dinner

  • Legend07 says:

So we’re saying they were Rodgers signings? Really??

If you need tools for a job you go to a proper tool shop not toys are us for replicas

Lawwell and his money saving board must take all the blame before fingers are pointed at manager.

If it was up to Liewell we would have someone in the same level as Ronnie

72 million plus in the bank and we didn’t make 1 (one) single marquee signing

Editor: Rodgers has told the media and the AGM that he was happy to sign off every summer signing, it is not a rumour or hearsay.

    • KC67 says:

Had Rodgers not backed every signing he would be admitting that he has been undermined from day one. He wasn’t going to do that. Instead he wanted to show some unity with the board. After all, who the eff wants signings from the Korean 2nd division?

The summer recruitment was an absolute disaster with no heed paid to what improvements the first team needed. Rodgers was expected to turn straw into gold.

Diddies come in pairs – Lawwell senior and junior both having a huge impact on the current malaise.

Disasterous season now unfolding, at this rate the huns will win the treble at a canter.

      Still laughing Lawwell and Nicholson?

Editor: No one knows better than Rodgers the snakes he was dealing with. DD sent Nicholson to Mallorca to sweet talk him, Nicholson and Chris McKay are Lawwell appointments, their loyalty is to Poisonous Peter, not Celtic or anyone else. Rodgers has been duped, you can see it in every interview.

      • Charlie Green says:

KC67, this was Ange’s team, hardly straw. Maeda, Kyogo etc.

        • KC67 says:

9 players signed in the summer Charlie, how many played the 90 minutes or finished the game. Junior like his auld man is an imposter.

    • Jim Duffy says:

You’re wrong legend ,the players we have at our disposal are much better than hearts players so logically it’s the managers fault for not utilising them properly.

  • harold shand says:

Looks to me like he’s realised he’s made the biggest mistake of his life coming back and is just going through the motions until he walks or binned

There is just nothing about him

On the sidelines or in his interviews

  • John Copeland says:

Why does any team need a wall at a free kick from 27 yards ? To my eyes it only hinders the keepers sight much more . If a keeper can’t react from 27 yards quickly ,then what’s the point ?
