After six home matches played in front of very muted crowds Celtic have been briefing their media chums about their fall out with the Green Brigade.

Only 267 fans have been suspended but the knock on effect on almost 55,000 others has been marked with supporters able to hear the shouts between players at matches.

Embarrassingly Motherwell and Hibs supporters have been out-singing the home support something that will be very evident tomorrow when Hearts fans taunt their guests.

When you are having out free tickets to schoolkids for Champions League matches there is something badly wrong with other supporters looking for a resolution to the issue.

There will be no more UEFA matches with the prospect of fines this season but the suspension continues.

Clearly aware that the Green Brigade has the sympathy of a very large number of supporters Celtic tonight issued a comment to their long term business partners at the Daily Record following a tweet from the North Curve/Green Brigade:

But Celtic have hit back and have again insisted that refunds are available for those banned, with respect of rules the way to merit a lifting of restrictions. It reads: “The club is currently in communication and engagement with the group in question with a view to returning to a situation where rules and regulations around operating safely are respected and complied with. The club has already stated very clearly that refunds for any match or matches during this suspension will be available.”

When you are happier dealing with the Daily Record than your own long term customers it really is time to act grown up and resolve an issue that is having a damaging impact on many areas of the club.

Celtic’s preferred fan media sites have been excluded from tonight’s statement.

As a sufferer of bronchitis the Green Brigade agree to no pyrotechnics would be a starting point. In addition no sectarian singing

Editor: Can you name one of their sectarian songs?

  • Nathaniel says:

Sorry but I forgot to add Celtic FC refrain from having any dealings with the Daily Record and The Sun as all fair minded Celtic supporters have done

Editor: A far bigger issue, an executive decision. The Chairman does have a special relationship with that mob.

The board won’t be long in changing their minds about the ban if only more fans decided to stay away, cutting the boards bonuses they would have the back in a heart beat once cash was drying up.

As for money to be given to Roy in January you have a better chance of a rocking horse doing a shite.

This is about Palestine not pyros. I want the pyros stopped but it has nothing to do with that. It’s bloody tories running our club trying to sauck up to their Israeli supportingvtory pals. Atmosphere is an embarrassment at present.

  • Amcq14 says:

Law onto himself should never been allowed back in the doors of our club. Saying nothing further as I basically feel I am on repeat.

Editor: Are you referencing the favoured media outlet of our highly esteemed and remunerated Chairman?

  • Bob (original) says:

The Board has totally mishandled the GB from the beginning:

this should have ALL been resolved in-house.

The Directors are paid handsomely to control the club – competently.

And, IMO, and so soon after our CL exit,

the Board has a cheek trying to take the moral highground.

Personally, I feel the Board lied to the supporters in the summer

by feeding their media puppets noises that the Board was now serious

    about ‘making progress in Europe’.

    Nonsense.

    Still don’t trust our Board.

One more example of NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE !!
