Celtic are reported to have been given a £15m price tag for Szymon Wlodarczyk.
The striker moved to Sturm Graz in the summer from Gornik Zabreze for around £2m but his value appears to have gone into overdrive according to Football Scotland.
Wlodarczyk, who has 11 caps and five goals for the Polish u-21 side has scored five league goals in 17 Austrian League appearances and is under contract until 2027.
Tucked away at the bottom of an article about Mathias Kvistgaarden, Football Scotland reports:
Football Scotland can also reveal Celtic reached out to Sturm Graz in an effort to revisit another former transfer target, Szymon Wlodarczyk, but were told his valuation has sky-rocketed to around £15million which would financially be out of their reach in January.
Celtic are looking to set up a partnership with Austrian Second Division side Admira Wacker where Tobi Oluwayemi and Matthew Anderson are currently out on loan.
That deal should provide a strong level of scouting information on Austrian football but at £15m Wlodarczyk is out of Celtic’s reach with the £9m signing of Odsonne Edouard from Paris Saint Germain in 2019 the record fee paid out.
While Wlodarczyk was moving from Poland to Austria, Celtic paid £4.2m to sign Maik Nawrocki from Legia Warsaw.
