Philippe Clement’s injury nightmare has intensified with news that Danilo will be out of action for at least four months.

The striker was a £6m signing from Feyenoord in the summer as Micky Beale threw the kitchen sink at finding the goals needed to bring success to the Ibrox Tribute Act.

Danilo was playing second fiddle to Cyriel Dessers at the start of the season but his recent run in the team ended last week at Tynecastle.

A first half knee injury caused some discomfort but it wasn’t until the 71st minute before he was replaced by Kemar Roofe.

Clement told shareholders last week that he would solve the club’s injury issues but on Friday he seemed depressed as he explained that Danilo and Tom Lawrence would be out until the new year.

Now the news on Danilo is much worse with The Sun reporting:

RANGERS star Danilo has been given the nightmare news he’s facing FOUR MONTHS on the sidelines.

The £6million Brazilian striker damaged his medial ligament against Hearts last week.

Ibrox boss Philippe Clement was hopeful his main hitman would be back in action just after the winter break and be a key part of his team’s title push.

But SunSport can exclusively reveal scans on Danilo’s knee have confirmed the 24-year-old requires surgery.

Specialists have warned Danilo will need to undergo lengthy rehab before being able to return for Gers.

No fixed timescale has been put on the striker’s comeback, but it’s expected he will be out of action until around April.

Roofe and Dessers will now be competing for the striker role with Abdallah Sima in double figures for the season from the left wing, Sima is on loan from Brighton.

Earlier today Jose Cifuentes lost out on his appeal against being sent off against Dundee in the SPFL, the midfielder will now be suspended for Sunday’s League Cup Final against Aberdeen.

The same old shite is appearing across Tim sites and some ‘tim’ (bought and paid for by DD/PTL) sites. We’ve had “Bin the Board” (for decades).

The Board is still there, and hence the point of gobbing off without intelligent alternative is pointless.

Aye, with no intelligible point of view it’s pointless.

Here’s wan: Every Tim worldwide via their CSCs is contacted, with a view to bringing DOWN the current Celtic FC structure and replacing it with heart-felt Tims.

Desmond, the twat, currently calls the shots, (or rather is allowed to although he is NOT a Tim, does NOT hold majority shareholder status just a fukkin ‘loaded’ joker who’s passion is money.

Unfortunately, this terrific site does not afford consistent discussion/debate.

No discussion necessary, no debate required: LAWWELLS OUT AND DESMOND TOO.

Hail! Hail! The Glasgow Celtic FC, get the plc TF. (More to follow, I ain’t having it.)

For most clubs, losing a £6m striker on the eve of a Cup Final might be a calamity. Not so much for Sevco, who have friends at the SFA and the world’s highest scoring full-back, the Hall of Fame legend that is Tavpen, to see them through the tough times.
