The official attendance was given as just over 56,000 which is about 3,000 under capacity.
Feyenoord fans filled 3,500 seats in the away section but there were Dutch fans in almost every area of the home sections with no reports of any problems between the fans.
The fact that the match was a dead-rubber contributed to that, an 82nd minute equaliser followed by a 90th minute winner in any of the previous matches would have provoked more reactions.
Seeing Feyenoord fans sitting by their side seems to have kicked off a big debate among Celtic fans as they discovered first hand what is common practise for Celtic away games.
Shameful if you sold your tickets to Feyenoord fans.
An empty seat is better than an away fan occupying it ?

Getting a 5% away allocation is far from ideal, meaning that hundreds of Celtic fans have to do some undercover work with a half-n-half scarf essential wear for matches in Madrid, Rome and Rotterdam.
Many fans that went to the match seem fairly angry that others sold their ticket but after a lacklustre Champions League campaign the chance to recover £46 or more a fortnight before Christmas proved difficult to resist.
So

We do this constantly. I’ve sat in the home end at away games to Hearts, Hibs, PSG, Man City, Valencia, Real Madrid to name a few. If our own fans don’t want their tickets what’s wrong with a Feyenoord fan taking that seat? They were no bother and are proper football fans.

Guy next to me swapped his for home end tickets in Holland. What’s the big deal

That’s precisely the opposite argument we’ve been making against Scottish clubs ?
Nonsense, the more fans at a game the better.

Whilst I get the sentiment, that’s just the way it is. Celtic fans are everywhere for almost every European game in the home end whether we’re at a massive European giant or a club with pish fan bases. It was no surprise to see it tonight.

Only reason I got to Real Madrid last season was one of theirs. It’s really not a big deal, we won, we move on
— Spam Rogic | ??????????? (@SpamRogic_) December 14, 2023
but you are fine with us taking anybodys seat in the away games in scotland? hypocritcal mate
— LurganCelt (@brucie67) December 13, 2023
The amount of Feyenoord fans I had asking for the tickets I had spare was unreal. Never even replied to them. Tickets went to a Celtic fan.

Celtic park is actually pretty shite now. Like a library without the GB. Hardly any signing tonight and selling tickets to away fans is just an utter embarrassment. Pretty insipid fanbase we have these days.

Add to all the previous comments the strong possibility that some Celtic supporters have had enough of being taken for mugs by the board and are voting with their feet.
Who can blame them?
It’s okay, that bastard ££Lawwell££ is over the moon.
